Tasks

  • Performing cosmetic and structural work on CFRP components (composite repair)
  • Processing fiber-reinforced plastics and professionally applying copper fabric
  • Grinding to prepare and finish repair areas
  • Disassembling and assembling structural and system components
  • Inserting and removing fasteners
  • Applying sanding and scarfing techniques to produce force- and form-fitting laminate transitions
  • Repairing and refurbishing sandwich components

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, aircraft builder, industrial mechanic, in a metalworking profession, as a carpenter, or as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology
  • Initial professional experience in aircraft construction is an advantage (career entry also possible)
  • Experience with CFRP/GFRP is essential
  • Confident handling of 2D/3D construction documents (reading, implementation, feedback)
  • Knowledge of SAP and ideally OMI/Airina is an advantage
  • Advanced German (at least B2); basic English
  • Willingness to work shifts in a 2–3-shift operation
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is essential
