Tasks

  • Carrying out all activities in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
  • Pre-assembly of individual parts and sub-assemblies including drilling, countersinking and reaming
  • Application of various joining techniques such as riveting, screwing and gluing
  • Processing of different types of rivets such as universal rivets, Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok and blind rivets
  • Professional application and processing of sealing compounds
  • Carrying out rework, Carrying out rework, repairs and quality-compliant improvements
  • Assembling assemblies in series structure production
  • Working in compliance with quality guidelines and their systematic documentation

Qualifications

  • Completed training as an aircraft mechanic (specialising in production engineering) or aircraft structural engineer
  • Alternatively, skilled metalworker with proven additional qualification ‘Riveting course — joining techniques in aviation’
  • First professional experience in pure structural engineering (no maintenance activities)
  • Sound knowledge of joining techniques and structural assembly activities
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Regional residence as well as valid driving licence and own vehicle required
  • Willingness to work in 2-3 shift system
  • An existing, unrestricted work permit for the EU (not a student visa) is mandatory
