Tasks
- Manufacture and processing of CFRP and GFRP components using hand lay-up and vacuum injection processes.
- Carrying out repairs to fiber composite components after consultation with the development department.
- Documenting the work by accurately completing work cards.
- Integrating repaired components to restore full functionality.
- Preparing surfaces by filling, sanding, and pre-treating paintwork.
- Working with adhesive technology and typical composite materials
- Reading technical drawings and complying with building regulations
Qualifications
- Completed training as a process mechanic in plastics and rubber technology, carpenter, or comparable qualification with experience in fiber composites
- Several years of experience in CFRP / GFRP processing, in particular hand lamination and vacuum injection
- In-depth knowledge of repair techniques such as shafting, core repairs, and laminate construction
- Experience in model making is an advantage
- Knowledge of hazardous substances and occupational safety aspects of epoxies
- Confident handling of technical documentation and drawings
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
