Tasks

  • Manufacture, modification, and integration of multi-layer insulation (MLI) according to defined specifications
  • Independent implementation of work instructions and quality assurance measures using activity control sheets (ACS)
  • Mechanical integration of satellite assemblies at various locations and participation in international test and launch campaigns
  • Maintenance and updating of the MLI material database and participation in process optimization
  • Support in the creation of technical documentation and process descriptions

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an automotive mechanic, mechanic, or in a metalworking profession
  • Many years of professional experience, particularly in the manufacture of MLI for space applications
  • Several years of practical experience in the mechanical integration of satellite assemblies
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards and aerospace standards is an advantage
  • Confident use of MS Office
  • Very good German and English skills (at least C1 in each)
  • Willingness to work at different locations and participate in international campaigns
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
