In a highly specialized environment, you will develop software for embedded systems – from requirements analysis and programming to integration and validation. The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 57,075 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.03.2027. Responsibilities


  • Software Development for embedded systems: specification, design, and implementation of software modules
  • Hardware-Software Integration: independently plan and execute integration tasks
  • Verification & Validation: create and execute test procedures, documenting results at component and system level
  • Test Applications: design and implement PC-based test applications and special measuring equipment
  • Technical Documentation: create and maintain technical documentation
  • Change Management: participate in formal project reviews and software reviews
  • Customer Support: provide expert support on system functionality
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration with System Engineering and Algorithm Development departments


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field (at least Bachelor's)
  • Several years of professional experience in software development for embedded systems, low-level programming, and ideally real-time programming
  • Good knowledge of configuration management and established process models
  • Experience in requirements analysis and software modeling with UML or model-based development (e.g., Rational Rhapsody, Rational Rose)
  • Solid knowledge of the C/C++ programming languages
  • Very good knowledge of network communication (TCP/IP), serial interfaces (RS232, RS422, RS485), and bus systems (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, CAN-Bus)
  • Good knowledge of requirements management software (e.g., Rational DOORS, Requisite Pro) and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks)
  • German business fluent (at least C1); English business fluent (at least C1)
  • Experience in developing PC test applications (e.g., with LabVIEW, Visual Studio) is advantageous
  • Strong teamwork skills, communication skills, and a high sense of responsibility
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
