Responsibilities

  • Post incoming goods and customs warehouse outbound shipments to the correct and economically sound customs procedures based on delivery notes and customs documents
  • Check the data quality of automated customs declarations, material master data, and customs warehouse inventories, and make corrections as needed
  • Process inquiries from customers and authorities and serve as a point of contact for customs-related issues
  • Advise operational departments on questions regarding export and import customs processing
  • Take on special tasks in day-to-day business and help stabilize processes pragmatically as needed


Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding clerk or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through many years of professional experience
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable role, ideally in customs clearance or bonded warehousing
  • Good knowledge of business fundamentals and interrelationships in export and import customs processing
  • Proficiency in common systems, e.g., SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Business-level German (min. C1) and basic English skills (min. A2)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours / early shifts
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
