As a Mechatronics Engineer / Aviation Integration Mechanic, you will be based at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Immenstaad, working on target display drones: integrating, testing, repairing, and commissioning them on site. Tasks

  • Integration and final testing of target display drones
  • Integration of standard mechanical and electronic assemblies
  • Repair and maintenance of target display drones
  • Alignment and integration of payload assemblies, including crimping and soldering work
  • Performing acceptance tests on assemblies and complete systems
  • Setup and commissioning of ground equipment on site
  • Integration and setup of target presentation drones on site
  • Collaboration during the campaign in the assigned area of responsibility

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an electronics technician for aeronautical systems (aircraft electronics technician), industrial mechanic, mechanic, or mechatronics engineer
  • Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production as well as in mechanics (aviation) or mechatronics
  • Initial to several years of relevant experience in integration, maintenance, or repair (depending on the area of application)
  • Soldering and crimping training according to ECSS desirable
  • Knowledge of manned and unmanned aircraft construction an advantage
  • Business fluent in German (at least C1); advanced English (at least B2)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
