Tasks
- Develop and implement commodity strategies to ensure short- and long-term competitiveness across all supply activities
- Apply and enforce Airbus-wide procurement policies and standards in your field
- Conduct market analyses and global sourcing strategies, considering offset requirements
- Manage the entire sourcing process, including RFPs, bid evaluation and contract negotiation
- Identify and lead value-creation and innovation projects with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Drive performance management and development of suppliers within the portfolio
- Ensure effective risk management across the full sourcing lifecycle
- Act as interface to a multifunctional project team, with special focus on drone and mission system technologies
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable field (minimum Bachelor’s degree)
- Several years of experience (min. 3 years) in purchasing, ideally in the aerospace or defence sector
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- Business fluent German language skills (at least C1) and business fluent English language skills (at least C1)
- Willingness to travel as required for the project
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted EU work permit is mandatory (student visas are not accepted)
