Tasks

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies to ensure short- and long-term competitiveness across all supply activities
  • Apply and enforce Airbus-wide procurement policies and standards in your field
  • Conduct market analyses and global sourcing strategies, considering offset requirements
  • Manage the entire sourcing process, including RFPs, bid evaluation and contract negotiation
  • Identify and lead value-creation and innovation projects with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Drive performance management and development of suppliers within the portfolio
  • Ensure effective risk management across the full sourcing lifecycle
  • Act as interface to a multifunctional project team, with special focus on drone and mission system technologies

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable field (minimum Bachelor’s degree)
  • Several years of experience (min. 3 years) in purchasing, ideally in the aerospace or defence sector
  • Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Business fluent German language skills (at least C1) and business fluent English language skills (at least C1)
  • Willingness to travel as required for the project
  • CV in English required
  • A valid, unrestricted EU work permit is mandatory (student visas are not accepted)
