For our client HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH, we are looking for a Development Engineer Firmware / FPGA at the Taufkirchen near Munich site. In a highly specialized environment, you will develop firmware and FPGA solutions for modern radar systems and IFF devices – from requirement analysis and programming to verification.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 69,809 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.07.2027. Responsibilities
- Requirement and Architecture Development: Creation of firmware requirements and architectures
- FPGA Programming: Implementation of requirements through VHDL code development according to coding standards
- Verification and Simulation: Creation of VHDL testbenches and definition of low-level test cases
- Test Automation: Definition of hardware test scripts and documentation of results
- Quality Assurance: Conducting code reviews and ensuring traceability between requirements and code
- Integration and System Testing: Supporting integration and performing system tests
- Version Control: Using Git for version management
- Project Coordination: Close collaboration with colleagues from system engineering, hardware, and software development
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable subject (at least Bachelor's)
- Several years of professional experience in FPGA development with VHDL (XILINX Vivado Design Suite, XILINX ISE Design Suite, QuestaSim)
- Experience with UltraScale+ MPSoC is desirable
- Knowledge of DOORS, Enterprise Architect, OSVVM Framework, and Python programming is advantageous
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1)
- CV in English required
- Independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working, strong team skills and customer orientation, commitment and willingness to perform
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
