Tasks
- Series introduction of new materials and manufacturing processes for cabin and air conditioning components with a focus on lightweight construction and technical and visual surfaces
- Carrying out material and process qualifications to characterize relevant parameters and ensure industrial reproducibility
- Supporting production lines and locations to stabilize smooth production processes
- Advising the design department on material and process selection in the context of product development
- Supporting the supply chain with supplier qualifications and on-site approval audits
- Planning and evaluating tests, including test planning, documentation, and derivation of implementable measures
- Contributing expertise on fiber-reinforced plastics and manufacturing processes for GRP/CFRP components
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, aerospace, composites, or with a focus on materials science or plastics technology
- Several years of professional experience in engineering as well as in plastics and rubber technology and/or aerospace
- Professional experience in the field of surfaces (paint, film, fabric) is essential
- Knowledge of lightweight construction, plastics technology, fiber-reinforced plastics, test planning, and documentation
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Business fluent in German (at least C1); advanced English (at least B2)
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is essential
