We are looking for you as an Electrical Design Engineer Test Systems / Inspection Systems for our customer HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH at their Ulm location. You will work in a team that develops production and customer testers for radar, electronic warfare, and avionics systems – in a practical manner, in compliance with standards, and with clear quality standards. Tasks

  • Design of electrical connection components, wiring assemblies, and cables from an electrical and economic perspective
  • Creation and maintenance of development documentation: circuit diagrams, overview plans, drawings, parts lists, and delivery specifications
  • Specification of components, materials, and manufacturing processes, including technical evaluation
  • Conducting and participating in technical reviews and checking sets of drawings
  • Supporting production and integration (technical clarifications, feasibility, changes)
  • Working in the environment of 19" rack test systems with project-specific plug-in units and test adaptations (electrical/mechanical/thermal)

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable qualification; alternatively, training as a state-certified technician
  • Many years of professional experience in electrical design
  • Experience with design, technology, and process standards required
  • Good knowledge of international and national standards and regulations (MIL, VDE) as well as standards for connectors and cables required
  • Very good knowledge of SAP; knowledge of SAP ERP and SAP PLM desirable
  • Knowledge of E-CAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, Zuken) an advantage
  • Business fluent in German (at least C1), advanced English (at least B2)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
