Responsibilities


  • Approval Management: Maintain existing design organisation approvals (DOA) and obtain new approvals and extensions
  • Authority Interface: Act as the central point of contact for all DOA-related matters with aviation authorities
  • Compliance Demonstration: Demonstrate the compliance of design organisation manuals with authority requirements and manage changes to them
  • Design Assurance System: Ensure that checklists, procedures, and tools demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations
  • Procedure Management: Maintain the approved basis of DOA procedures correctly available for each approval
  • Negotiation Leadership: Lead alignments with authorities for the approval of processes related to airworthiness, environmental protection, and operational suitability
  • Supplier Control: Support Design Supplier Control Managers in defining requirements for DOA suppliers and in their qualification
  • Strategic Representation: Represent Airbus Helicopters in rule-making committees and advocate company interests in international DOA activities


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Many years of experience as a Design Engineer and in project management
  • Solid experience in design development and confident handling of common design office tools
  • Experience in an aviation design organisation or in aircraft certification
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, especially EASA Part 21J, is desirable
  • Business fluent English (at least C1); German language skills are an advantage
  • Strong safety awareness, excellent communication skills, and strong organisational abilities
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
