For our client Lufthansa Technik AG, we are looking for a Foreign Trade, Customs & Export Control Specialist at the Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel location. In this central compliance role, you will analyze regulatory requirements, advise specialist departments, and further develop the trade compliance organization – ensuring business models and supply chains always operate in a compliant and secure manner.

Responsibilities
- Regulatory Analysis: Evaluate new requirements and analyze their impact on business models, supply chains, and processes
- Implementation of Measures: Derive and steer necessary adjustments for business, process, and IT landscapes
- Departmental Consulting: Advise management and specialist departments on foreign trade, customs, and export control compliance issues
- Risk Management: Identify compliance risks and initiate and steer preventive measures
- Clarification Cases: Process and answer compliance-related inquiries from operational areas
- Audit Support: Provide expert support during operational audits, official inquiries, and audits
- Project Leadership: Lead or significantly contribute to cross-departmental projects for the further development of organization, processes, and IT systems
- Training Concepts: Develop and implement training programs in the areas of foreign trade, customs, and export control
Qualifications
- Successfully completed university degree in economics or law, ideally with a focus on foreign trade, customs, compliance, supply chain management, or logistics
- Several years of relevant professional experience (at least 3-5 years), ideally in the areas of customs, foreign trade, export control, compliance, or supply chain management
- Sound knowledge of customs and foreign trade law as well as export control; knowledge of US export control law (ITAR/EAR) is an advantage
- Experience in analyzing and implementing regulatory requirements in corporate processes
- Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft 365
- Business fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form (at least C1)
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured and solution-oriented working methods, as well as high team and communication skills
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
