At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Immenstaad or Ottobrunn, you will take on operational responsibility for a highly available IT infrastructure as an IT System Administrator. You will ensure the provisioning of new software packages, monitor system performance according to service-level agreements, and guarantee operational continuity through proactive failure analysis and escalation.

Responsibilities
- Software Provisioning: Plan and deploy new software packages and upgrades
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the operational condition of the IT infrastructure in line with OLA/SLAs
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and track it against negotiated SLAs
- Product Management Support: Communicate improvements, updates, and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager
- 24/7 Support: Provide IT support around the clock according to company needs and automated scheduling
- ITIL Processes: Perform ITIL-based support processes for incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management
- Failure Analysis: Diagnose system failures and take corrective action to ensure operational continuity
- Availability Optimization: Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment
Qualifications
- Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in IT / information systems
- Deep, secure practical experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix
- Required experience with physical server hardware from HPE (compute hardware, server maintenance, firmware updates)
- Demonstrable experience in an ITIL-organized environment (incident, problem, change management)
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and English (at least C1)
- Availability for 24/7 on-call duty
- Teamwork skills, analytical thinking, and independent working style
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
