As a Jigs & Tools Mechanic, you will use conventional milling and turning machines to manufacture precise components from plastic and metal and produce complex assembly fixtures (Jigs & Tools) for series production. Responsibilities
- Machining of plastic and metal components using conventional milling and turning machines
- Woodworking with circular saws and other woodworking machines
- Assembly of individual parts into complex tools and fixtures
- Jigs & Tools manufacturing from wood, plastic, and metal according to technical drawings
- Maintenance and manual rework of fixtures through grinding, drilling, and threading
- Quality awareness in the manufacturing and repair of production tools
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as a precision mechanic, industrial mechanic, machine fitter, metalworker, toolmaker, or machining mechanic
- Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production, ideally in aircraft construction or maintenance
- Experience in parts manufacturing as well as in mechanical engineering and with Jigs & Tools
- Good knowledge of quality management systems
- Proficient German language skills; basic skills in English
- Willingness to work shifts (2-shift system) and overtime
- Teamwork skills, structured and independent way of working, and quick comprehension
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
