For our client Diehl Aviation Gilching GmbH, we are looking for a Machine Tool Technician Aviation at the Gilching site. In a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment, you will take on the machining of prototypes and series parts using turning and milling machines as well as 5-axis machining centers – from programming to in-process quality control.

Responsibilities


  • Machine operation: Independently set up, adjust, and operate turning and milling machines as well as 5-axis machining centers
  • Process optimization: Monitor cutting and tool parameters and make independent corrections
  • Programming: Independently program simple components on machining centers
  • Assembly: Perform light assembly tasks
  • Surface finishing: Deburr, grind, and polish parts
  • Quality control: Set up and use measuring instruments and perform in-process dimensional accuracy checks
  • Project work: Participate in optimization initiatives and manufacture and assemble prototypes
  • Team leadership: Instruct and train colleagues and support the supervisor in work scheduling


Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic or Machinist
  • Several years of professional experience in the machining sector
  • Good knowledge in the areas of turning and/or milling as well as experience with deburring, grinding, and polishing
  • Experience with controls of Sinumerik 840 D or Heidenhain MillPlus IT
  • Teamwork skills, high sense of responsibility, initiative, resilience, and organizational talent
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
