Responsibilities
- Tool selection: Design and selection of cutting tools for production
- Customer consultation: Point of contact for internal and external customers in the machining area
- Process optimization: Advising users on tool selection and cutting parameters
- Trial management: Planning, execution, and evaluation of tool trials as well as service life determinations
- Interface coordination: Managing interfaces with production, quality assurance, procurement, and NC programming
- Documentation: Provision of technical documents and maintenance of the tool database
- Procurement: Creation of specifications for tenders in tool management
- Supplier management: Technical correspondence with tool suppliers and complaint management
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, mechanic, toolmaker, or machining mechanic, ideally with further training as a certified technician or business administrator
- Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production, industrial mechanics, or tool manufacturing
- Experience in reading technical drawings
- Knowledge of MS Office and SAP as well as CAD/CAM systems
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and proficient English, ideally technical English
- Knowledge of CDM (Common Data Model) is desirable
- Teamwork skills, structured and conscientious way of working, and a strong quality awareness
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
