Responsibilities


  • Certification management for the design organization (DOA) – maintaining, expanding, and obtaining new approvals
  • Interface management as the central point of contact for aviation authorities on all DOA-related matters
  • Compliance demonstration by supporting the proof of conformity of design organization manuals
  • Design Assurance System maintenance and management of compliance checklists according to system requirements
  • Process management for the approved basis of all DOA processes and their availability to the organization
  • Negotiation leadership with authorities for the approval of processes related to airworthiness and environmental protection
  • Supplier control by supporting Design Supplier Control Managers in qualifying and monitoring suppliers
  • Strategic representation of Airbus Helicopters in international rule-making and strategy development committees


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Many years of experience as a Design Engineer (over 5 years) and in project management (over 4 years)
  • Solid experience in design development and confident handling of common design office tools
  • Experience in an aviation design organization or aircraft certification
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, especially EASA Part 21J
  • Business fluent English (at least C1); German language skills are an advantage
  • CV in English required
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and high self-motivation
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
