Responsibilities
- Product vision and roadmap: Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the sensor-control subsystem within the overall system
- Requirements management: Translate mission requirements, stakeholder needs, and regulatory constraints into a prioritized product backlog
- User stories and acceptance criteria: Define user stories and acceptance criteria that ensure both functional performance and systems-engineering attributes
- Development team collaboration: Work closely with the development team (systems and software engineers) to set realistic sprint goals and deliver on time
- Agile steering: Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, acting as the primary liaison with external stakeholders
- Risk and compliance management: Maintain traceability matrices and reflect safety/mission-critical standards in the backlog
- Performance monitoring: Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for features, defect density, sensor performance, and schedule variance
- Continuous improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of agile practices and data-driven decision-making within the team
Qualifications
- Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Many years of professional experience (5+ years) in the areas of sensor control, avionics, autonomous systems, or other mission-critical platforms
- Proven expertise as a Product Owner with experience delivering complex hardware or software products and strong backlog management skills
- Proficient use of JIRA/Confluence, DOORS for requirements traceability, CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink for sensor modeling, and basic version control (Git)
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel for sporadic interactions at the Manching site
- CVs are required in English

- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
