For our client Lufthansa Technik AG, we are looking for a Project Engineer Test Benches & Equipment at the Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel location. You plan and support test rigs and facilities for aircraft maintenance, lead procurement projects, and develop efficient manufacturing concepts – ensuring maintenance processes run safely, reliably, and economically.

Responsibilities


  • Planning and procurement of test rigs, production facilities and equipment for aircraft maintenance in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements
  • Project management for the development of new test rigs and test procedures, including responsibility for cost, schedule and quality targets as well as cost-benefit analyses
  • Manufacturing optimization through analysis of production methods and creation of concepts to improve product and process quality and reduce operating costs
  • Capability building within your area of responsibility and ensuring the availability of all facilities
  • Consultation and support for production areas and associated sites on production equipment issues
  • Technical documentation creation, including maintenance, servicing and training concepts for test rigs and equipment
  • Special tasks in the areas of production equipment planning and process optimization


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Aircraft Systems Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Several years of professional experience in production facilities and equipment planning as well as specification creation
  • Good programming skills, preferably in NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand or Python
  • Experience in project management and execution as well as in leading, instructing and motivating project team members
  • Very good English skills (at least B2) and willingness to travel on business trips domestically and abroad
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, structured working methods and team orientation
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
