We are looking for two experienced specialists in the field of Quality Engineer Manufacturing Engineering for the Final Assembly Line (FAL) at Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH in Donauwörth. If you love manufacturing, understand processes, and take details seriously, you can bring technical precision and team spirit directly to the product—for military and civil helicopters. Tasks

  • Participation in projects and workshops for process and quality improvement in final assembly and flight line
  • Application and further development of methods such as initial sample inspections, risk analyses, and test characteristic definitions
  • Data analysis and KPI evaluations to support quality-related decisions
  • Coordination and implementation of initial sample inspections (FAI), including report creation, deviation management, and schedule tracking
  • Collaboration with departments such as work preparation, quality liaison, and production
  • Collaboration on digital solutions and tools (e.g., SAP, Qualitix, QAT) for the automation and further development of Q processes
  • Review and approval of work plans, creation of test characteristics, participation in PFMEA and control plans
  • Participation in cross-departmental teams and implementation of structured quality analyses (e.g., PPS)

Qualifications

  • Completed technical vocational training (aircraft mechanic/industrial mechanic or similar) with subsequent further training as a technician or specialist
  • Alternatively, a technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, aerospace, engineering)
  • Many years of experience in the areas of production, quality, manufacturing engineering, or work preparation
  • Experience in project management (at least 2 years)
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP and MS Office, ideally also QAT or Qualitix
  • Practical experience with APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and other quality methods
  • Experience as an inspector in the aviation sector is an advantage
  • Very good German skills (at least C1), good English skills (at least B2)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
