The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 69,809 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.08.2027. Responsibilities
- Modeling and simulation of hybrid and electric propulsion systems using a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodology
- System architecture definition and development using Python to establish the foundational framework
- Simulation methodology and tool landscape improvement and further development to ensure a robust and efficient workflow
- Modular simulation platform development at the drive system level, ensuring seamless interaction with other systems
- Simulation models for specific subsystem-level analyses (e.g., eMotor, MCU, batteries, thermal management) development and integration
- Subsystem modules creation and maintenance in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape
- Validation and verification (V&V) of all simulation models using real-world test data
- Documentation of all model validation activities ensured
Qualifications
- Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in engineering, with mandatory experience in modeling and simulation
- Sound knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems is an advantage; knowledge of fuel cell systems is required
- Detailed specialist knowledge in Python and MATLAB; experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink/Simscape, Amesim, CFTurbo, and STAR-CCM+ is desirable
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German, French, or Spanish are advantageous
- Willingness to travel
- Creative, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style, teamwork skills, and good communication skills
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
