Stress Engineer at Airbus (m/f/x)

Responsibilities

• Strength analyses for metal and composite constructions using static and fatigue dynamic methods (F&DT)
• Functional analysis and load determination for door mechanisms using standard methods and multi-body dynamics simulations
• Feasibility studies support and evaluation to enable product improvements in design and manufacturing
• Test validation by reviewing predicted load values against test data
• Series business support in responding to in-service occurrences (ISO) and production-related questions
• Design improvements actively contribute to reliability, cost, and weight optimization
• Concept development for the next generation of aircraft door systems

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (at least Bachelor's)
• Several years of professional experience in engineering, ideally in the aerospace industry
• Initial experience in strength analysis as well as with fatigue and damage tolerance processes/methods
• Knowledge of certification regulations for metal and composite products as well as experience in defining and calculating loads for optimized structural components
• Proficient use of MS Office and specialized engineering tools such as HyperWorks/HyperMash, Nastran, and ideally ISAMI, Catia 5V, and Python
• Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1); French language skills are an advantage
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills, solution-oriented working methods, and pronounced teamwork skills
• A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
