At Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel, you will take on a key role in the department of Global Transport Management as a Supply Chain Transportation Manager. Unlike conventional dispatch roles, this position focuses on partner governance, operational performance monitoring, and logistics excellence across Airbus’ global supply chain. Use your logistics expertise to control transport processes, drive service quality, and manage global providers with precision and purpose.

Tasks

  • Act as the main interface between Satair business teams and global transport providers – ensuring SLA compliance, cost control, and service quality
  • Manage the performance of logistics service providers (3PL/4PL) through regular reviews, KPI tracking, and escalation handling
  • Oversee transport operations across air, sea, road, and courier modes – including dangerous goods and customs compliance
  • Translate internal business needs from Sales, Procurement, and Customer Order Desk into viable logistics solutions
  • Lead the resolution of complex transport cases, such as AOG (Aircraft on Ground), oversize shipments, and project cargo
  • Represent operational logistics needs in cross-functional projects and support the implementation of new tools and processes
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and governanceacross all logistics activities and touchpoints within the Airbus network

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree (at least Bachelor’s) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in procurement (min. 3 years) and in supplier management and logistics (min. 4 years each)
  • Proficient in SAP R/3 (especially functional modules) and Google Workspace
  • Solid foundation in process management
  • In-depth understanding of all transport modes (air, ocean, road, courier), including handling of dangerous goods and customs regulations
  • Fluent German (min. C1) and fluent English skills (min. C1)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
