Responsibilities
- Software Provisioning: Ensure the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track system performance against negotiated service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Product Management: Communicate improvement, updates and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager
- ITIL Processes: Perform ITIL-based support processes including incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management
- System Diagnostics: Analyse console messages, diagnose system failures and take corrective action to ensure continuity of operations
- Backup Management: Supervise system backup processing
- Optimisation: Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in computer science or comparable qualification (at least Master's/Diploma degree)
- Many years of professional experience in IT / information systems
- Excellent knowledge of configuration management tools and how they work
- Proficient use of Linux (Server and workstation) and Windows (Server and workstation)
- Working knowledge of Redmine, Sapienza Eclipse, Subversion, Gitlab, Jira or Confluence advantageous
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1)
- CV in English required
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills as well as excellent communication skills
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
