Tasks

  • Performing mechanical assembly, installation, modification, and repair work on satellite components
  • System integration of satellites, subsystems, and mechanical components in the field of “mechanical integration”
  • Assembly and integration of subsystems and mechanisms
  • Precision machining and surface preparation
  • Adhesive bonding with specified materials according to technical specifications
  • Documentation of integration and test protocols
  • Performing first-level quality checks
  • Support in the preparation and execution of tests, including mechanical and thermal verification

Qualifications

  • Completed training as a technician/specialist in mechanical engineering or comparable technical qualification
  • Many years of professional experience in the fields of precision engineering, industrial mechanics, design, aerospace, or measurement technology
  • Experience with development projects and sound technical understanding
  • Knowledge of preparing and conducting mechanical and thermal environmental tests
  • Basic knowledge of plastics processing and bonding technology
  • Very good German (at least B2) and business fluent English (at least C1)
  • Good user knowledge of Google Workspace
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel
